If I ever need to look for inspiration or need a little boost to remind me of how important the work we are all doing is – the kids are always there to provide it. Emily and I went out to watch Jason, Kelly and friends teach some Queen Mary students about threshing wheat (grown on the North Shore!) at lunch today. The young people get so excited about this, they are always keen to engage, to ask questions and answer them, to talk about thier own experiences. They truly love this stuff! One girl was so excited to come over and tell me about her grandparents farm in Iran where they grow wheat. She loved that we were making this connection in her new home. How inspiring is that?
